Train I Ride is a meditation on reading, writing, rhythm and tempo. In a sequence of prose fragments, the author lays down tracks through a landscape that is itself always sliding away, with nods along the way to precursors including Junior Parker, Hemingway, Ted Berrigan, Clint Eastwood, Steve Lacy, On Kawara, Gertrude Stein, Compay Segundo, Robert Bresson, Rimbaud, Minnie Minoso, and Warren Sonbert. “The words book.”
